Thank you so much for all the well wishes we have received since our engagement. It is lovely that there is so much excitement around the wedding.

We appreciate not everyone will be able to travel to share our day. We are also very conscious that it is long road from many of your homes, and so we put together a wee guide for anyone who has never been to the beautiful north west, and those who might want to take in some of the beauty of the Hills of Donegal.

An Turas - The Journey

Journey from Galway:

Head on the N83/M18 towards Tuam and follow through: Ballindine; Claremorris; Knock; Kilkelly; Charlestown; Tobbercurry; Colloonry; Ballysadare; Carraroe; Sligo; Grange; Clifffony; Bundoran(bypassed); Ballyshannon(bypassed); Laghey; Donegal Town(bypassed); Ballyblofey/Stranorlar; Letterkenny(bypassed); Manorcunningham; Newtown Cunningham; Burt… Then either: a.) head for Buncranna (if heading to Ballyliffin or: b.) Muff, Carndonagh (heading to the chapel)

Journey from Dublin:

To Go Via Belfast

Take M50/M1. Continue on the A1 until the Sprucefield roundabout and continue onto the M1 to Belfast. Follow signs to the M2/ Int’l Airport/Larne. Stay on the M2 to Drumderg and cintue onto the A6. Stay on the A6 (Glenshane Pass). This will bring you to Altnagalvin Roundabout, take 3rd exit onto cresent link/A514. Stay on A514, & this will take you over the Foyle Bridge and lead you towards the Culmore interchange. Take third exit to the right, signposted L’kenny, Buncranna, Moville. Continue straight on this road passing through Culmore & Muff. Take a sharp left onto the R240 signposted Carndonagh. This road will lead you to Carndonagh.

You can also go Via Monaghan (A5)

Take M50/M1. Take Junction 14 signposted Ardee. Head for Castleblaney, Monaghan, Omagh, Strabane, Derry. Head over the Cregavin bridge and through the city, heading towards Culmore, Muff. Take a sharp left onto the R240 signposted Carndonagh. This road will lead you to Carndonagh.
